Since 2006, more than 120 students have successfully graduated from the programme, which involves students continuing with their special learning classes at SMK Bandar Sunway and undergoing apprenticeships during the training period.

Celebrating its 10th year anniversary in 2016, the Sunway Job Training Programme is organised in collaboration with Sunway Group, SMK Bandar Sunway and Generating Opportunities for the Learning Disables (GOLD).

The programme integrates the diverse job skills available within the Sunway Group of companies, resulting in a curriculum that is industry relevant and practical for learning disabled students.

Upon selecting their apprenticeship, students attend pre-vocational classes, working in areas such as baking and pastry, office and general housekeeping, food and beverage, and ticketing at Sunway Group’s business units – Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway Pyramid, Sunway University, Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Resort Hotel.
