As the only attraction in the world to be awarded ‘Asia’s Best Attraction’ by the International Association of Amusement Park and Attractions (IAAPA) for four consecutive years, Sunway Lagoon has come a long way since its humble beginnings.

Officially opening its doors to the public in 1992, Sunway Lagoon was Malaysia’s first theme park to be built 150 feet below ground level at a former mining site.

Over the next 25 years, the theme park grew, attracting more than 20 million visitors with over 90 rides and attractions for all ages.

To commemorate this momentous milestone, Sunway Lagoon recently held its ‘25 Wonder Years’ celebration, where it unveiled ‘Experience It’, a song that chronicles its milestones and a collaborative effort of local artistes Caprice, Mimi Fly and Kaka Azraff.

A mesmerising fireworks display concluded the night’s celebrations with a bang.

The Tale of Mount Berapi, an original production by Sunway Lagoon

In another first for the theme park, Sunway Lagoon also staged its original production and inaugural volcano show, The Tale of Mount Berapi.
